Books and Dogs

Back home from the quick trip to Houston - many thanks to the Words for the Journey writers' group for putting on such a lovely evening.

Among other things, I came away with this inspiring quote:

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." -- Groucho Marx

Meet Zorro, the tinkling wonder dog. He actually belongs to my daughter. (Rosie is mine ... see the Pretty Princess post.)

I know they're riduculous looking little animals, but oh, I do love them.

Janetta here, one of the Word For The Journey gals. Thanks for speaking to us and bringing us your wealth of knowledge. Also, I finished "potter springs." LOVED IT. Read it (when I could) during my recent move. My husband said I took way too many breaks (what honey, my nose is stuck in this fabulous book). I'm not kidding. I laughed, cried and almost cheered. Thanks for a splendid read.

Hi Nettie,

I'm so honored you enjoyed the read - and what kind things to say. I especially like that Potter Springs went with you on a move, given that the story is all about journeys. Hope this new transition is a good one for you.

I had a great time with your group, and thanks for stopping by the blog. Come again!
